Elon and Vivek want you to pay their taxes

All Trump's rich boy cosplayers are offering is a chance to expose the GOP's lust for cutting billionaires' taxes.

Democrats are taking the most generous gift they’ve been offered for years and turning it into a care package for the worst billionaires on earth. And it’s time they shake this funk off and start fighting for the people who need them most.

Yes, I’m talking about DOGE, the ridiculous con that presupposes that rich freaks like Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy care about anything but evading taxes and punishing their perceived enemies.

The basics:

• Two billionaires demanding that the government cut anything that helps workers.
• Meanwhile, Republicans in Congress are deciding between themselves whether to cut billionaires’ taxes first or spend $200 billion to deport workers who are dying to pay taxes.

This sure seems like an opportunity for Democrats! They could jump up and down with signs that say, “Just pay your fair share, rich boys!”

Or they can say, “Hey, we have the $300 billion a year for you right here. It’s called the Ultra-Millionaire Tax Act, which would raise an estimated $3 trillion over the next decade!”

Or they could say, “How about we just don’t renew Trump’s tax cuts for the richest Americans who can afford the sacrifices far more than the tens of millions you want to cut off Medicaid and Social Security!”

Have Democrats forgotten that Trump’s tax cuts, which are still extraordinarily unpopular, are the reason why billionaires now have a lower tax rate than workers FOR THE FIRST TIME IN AMERICAN HISTORY?

They could at least make this essential point OVER AND OVER AND OVER:

“Tax cuts that disproportionately helped the richest Americans are the entire reason debt is rising as a percentage of the economy,” according to the Center for American Progress.

The left has been given a massive gift. Republicans have painted a tunnel on their own mount and hung a giant DOGE sign with pictures of two of the most obnoxious rich dorks ever to live. The tunnel could bang their noggins against maybe the single most popular issue Democrats have, TAXING THE RICH.

And instead of letting the right give themselves a massive headache, guys like Ro Khanna and Bernie Sanders, who are generally right on every issue, have decided to try to carve the tunnel with their OWN HEADS by taking this canard seriously.

No! No!!

There’s nothing Elon and Vivek will propose that any Democrat should vote for. Even if they manage to get in there and cut the stuff that really needs to go, like the F-35, let them do it because it will be paired with horrors.

Yes, horrors. And not just the promised mass deportations, which, if they resemble Trump’s promises in any way, will require a series of concentration camps larger than the Japanese-American imprisonment.

But maybe you haven’t heard, but House Republicans are now planning to absolutely gut the single largest insurer in America—Medicaid. These cuts look to be larger than anything they proposed in 2017, when they were aiming to throw tense of millions off of this essential lifeline, which is literally the machinery that keeps America’s working class from falling into abject misery in much of the country.

Politics is a story.

And the story Republicans and the media have been telling you is that they want to cut government. And this is a very popular story!

Democrats need the story to be able what is actually happening here: Billionaires are engineering ANOTHER massive heist of the American taxpayers. And now they’re so shameless, they’re not having their puppets do the fleecing. They’re stuffing their pockets themselves.
